Haunted Mansion (2015)

"Haunted Mansion" is a 2015 Metro Manila Film Fest Entry starring Janella Salvador, Marlo Mortel and Jerome Ponce. This is the debut film of Marlo Mortel and Janella Salvador after their successful stints on television.

Synopsis: Ella (Janella Salvador) is a gifted girl born to a middle-class family with an ability to communicate with spirits. During a seance, her communication with the supernatural resulted in her father’s death when malevolent spirits interfere. At an exclusive Catholic School where she studies, she befriends Faye, (Sharlene San Pedro) and becomes love the interest of both Jacob (Jerome Ponce) and Adrian (Marlo Mortel). Her schoolmates, Megan (Ingrid dela Paz), Allison (Devon Seron), Jack (Phytos Ramirez), Jessie (Eliza Pineda), and Steve (Paolo Gumabao) who often bullies Ella and calling her as "nerd" due to her supernatural experience and abilities.

Her whole class was assigned to join a retreat vacation at an abandoned mansion that was converted into a retreat house in a province away from Manila however, love triangle was formed that results quarrel in opposite parties that came along their path.While staying at the house Megan, Allison, Jack, Jessie and Steve initiated a prank on Ella and insidiously awakened the evil spirits, Amara (Iza Calzado) and Veronica (LJ Reyes) from the past. In the midst of the students’ adventure, dormant ghost in the retreat house are disturbed and so they wreak havoc on Ella and her friends. Ella and her friends accidentally discovers the mystery surrounding the twin deaths, and so Amara’s vengeful spirit returns to try to stop them from spilling the truth. Ella should use her ability to save her friends from being killed one by one.

Buy Now, Die Later (2015)

"Buy Now, Die Later" is a 2015 Metro Manila Film Fest Entry starring Vhong Navarro, Alex Gonzaga, Rayver Cruz, John Lapus, Lotlot de Leon, TJ Trinidad and Janine Gutierrez. This movie won 2nd place in the Best Picture Category in the recently concluded MMFF event.

Synopsis: The film is about a compendium of five interrelated stories brought together by the proprietor of a curio shop selling unusual items. Santi (portrayed by TJ Trinidad), who says the role is kind of demonic.[3] Each of the character’s story is weaved around the five senses – sense of sight, hearing, smell, touch and taste.

Nilalang (2015)

"Nilalang" is a 2015 Metro Manila Film Fest Entry starring Cesar Montano and Maria Ozawa. This Filipino-Japanese movie is about a local forensic expert who teams up with an heiress to a transnational organized crime syndicate originating from Japan.

Synopsis: NBI special crimes division agent Tony (Cesar Montano) encounters an evil entity which is bent on killing and torturing beautiful women, one of which was his girlfriend, years after he have thought to have killed the malevolent spirit. People close to Tony is in danger including his partner Jane (Meg Imperial), who has romantic interest towards him with everyone in the agency aware of this fact except for Tony.

The spirit, who has killed many people in Japan, is thought to be targeting women from a certain clan of samurai. In Manila, Miyuki (Maria Ozawa) takes care the family business with her younger sister taking care their aging father. Miyuki is later forced to help in the investigation regarding the murders after Akane went missing and their father was found dead to put of stop to the evil entity's killing spree.

Chain Mail (2015)

"Chain Mail" is a 2015 Filipino suspense-thriller film starring Meg Imperial, Shy Carlos, and Nadine Lustre. This movie is Nadine's fresh start on a horror flick.

Synopsis: A usual chain mail is forwarded to a group of people. Some pass it while others ignore. One dies and is followed by series of sudden and unexplainable deaths of others. Soon after, a revelation begins to unfold, the chain mail is cursed and so she has to find the origin and mystery behind to stop the misfortunes it may cause to anyone who fails to pass it before another life perish again. Sandra also suspects Anne is behind the tragic incidents that happened to their friends. Will she break the curse before it's too late or will she become one of the victims?

"Tragic Theater: The Exorcism of the Film Center" is a 2015 pinoy horror movie starring Christopher de Leon, John Estrada, and Andi Eigenmann. This scary flick's uncut trailer was twice given a "RATED X" rating by the MTRCB because according to them, it was “too scary”, effectively ruling it unfit for public exhibition — at least, on TV and cinema screens.

Synopsis: In February 1999, a group of spirit communicators attempted to exorcise the then-abandoned Manila Film Center of ghosts. These supernatural beings were believed to be those of the victims from a fatal accident during its hasty construction. Unknown to them, something had long ago taken sanctuary inside the building feeding on the anger and misery of the victims' souls. They learned this secret too late and walked into a horrifying encounter.

Binhi (2015)

"Binhi (The Seed)" is a 2015 Filipino independent suspense horror movie starring Mercedes Cabral, Joem Bascon, and Kariz Espinosa. This pinoy movie is their first time with director Pedring Lopez.

Synopsis: Daniel and Cynthia, a young couple with a child on the way, experience some hard times in Manila. They head back to Baguio, where Daniel is originally from, to start over again. Through the kindness of Alex, Daniel’s well-to-do childhood friend, they get to stay in a large house, rent-free; and he gets a job offer as well.

Everything seems to be falling into place for them – or so they think – until strange things start to happen in their house.
